Youth Wrestler Hits the Road in the Month of December

Youth wrestler, Gage Curry, traveled over 1400-miles over the past two weeks to compete at the Prodigy Duals in Springboro, OH and the VAC National Holiday Duals in Hampton, VA.

December 13, the day after an excellent showing at the Chartiers Valley Open Tournament Gage traveled 300-miles west to Springboro, OH to compete in the Prodigy Duals on the All-American Wrestling Club Dual Team.

While in Ohio Gage recorded a record of 4-1 losing a close 4-3 opening match to 2009 Ohio State Champ Ryan Thomas. Gage forged ahead to win his next four matches which included defeating 2009 Ohio State Champ, Corey Shie by decision of 7-0.

December 19, Gage set out to make the 420-mile trip to Hampton, VA to compete in the VAC National Holiday Duals. Gage competed as a member of the 2009 Pennsylvania National Dual Team. A team composed of some of the best elementary wrestlers our state has to offer

Over the three days of competition, Gage finished with a record of 8-1 overall wrestling some of the top kids the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia have to offer.

Gage will be back in action with Team Pennsylvania on Sunday, January 24, 2010 when Team Pennsylvania takes on Team Ohio before the Ohio State vs. Penn State match at St. Johns Arena in Columbus, OH.
